Download Sample Embedded Fonts for the Web
Your custom fonts created by E-Signature can also be embedded within html documents for display on the World Wide Web. This feature only works with Version 4.0 and onwards browsers and requires that you have html editing software that can create the necessary code.
Embedded fonts will offer you many features that are currently unavailable now with bitmapped images:
-
Send a font to a browser so as to display your page exactly the way you want. You are no longer restricted to just Arial/Times New Roman or other generic fonts.
-
Only the portions of your font that are required are actually downloaded to the browser. Save lots of memory, bandwidth and see your page develop faster - especially on screens with slow hookups.
-
Keep your font proprietary. No one can copy your font because it will reside in an inaccessible cache on the browser. You can display your text the way you want without fear of anyone copying it.
-
This is the ideal way to display repetitive or large graphics on a user's browser. Since fonts are essentially vector graphics, you can scale them to any size and they will always require the same small amount of memory. Have a large logo you want repeated often? Embedded fonts are your solution for both the Internet and Intranets.
Additional information on font embedding for browsers is available on the Microsoft site at http://www.microsoft.com/opentype/web/embedding/default.htm.
Ready to try embedding for the web? Download the jetform_en.htm and jetform0.eot files and place them in a directory called c:\E-Signature. Placing the files anywhere else will prevent the .eot file from functioning (try it for yourself, this demonstrates the security feature whereby we instruct the font to only work from certain directories or domains). You can peek at the code in the jetform_en.htm file by opening it using Wordpad or any html editing softare.
Ready to order your own custom font? Simply click on the
"order Your Font" link in the

level of embedding you need on all E-Signature font order forms.
